About us

A love for food.  Cornerhouse Cookery was founded in 2010 by former TV Director and Producer Tina Moss. Tina's love of food can be traced back to her grandmother's kitchen in Ammanford, West Wales. Now Tina is teaching children, teenagers, individuals, couples and corporate clients from across South Wales, adhering to the simple principles of great ingredients and a passion for flavour.

We can all cook.  Many of Tina's clients say that they have 'tried and failed with pasta', 'my bread is always a disaster', 'my pastry never comes out right'. Tina says there is often something so simple that can be put right to make those kitchen calamities a thing of the past. Tina really enjoys sharing her knowledge of food and cooking, built up over many years as an amateur cook and through training at Ashburton and Leith's cookery schools.

Proper food is important.  More and more of us are becoming aware of the importance of food and as a nation we are rediscovering the skills that seemed to skip a generation. This is another great passion for Tina which she put to practical use, teaching a sports hall full of people how to cook a family meal in an event run by Caerphilly Council. Tina has also demonstrated her cooking techniques at Food Festivals in Cowbridge and St Fagans, and has appeared on BBC Radio Wales.

Cooking is fun.  We'd like to show you how satisfying cooking can be, whether you come as an individual to learn new skills, or as a group at one of our cookery parties or team bonding events. At the end of each class, we sit down and share the food we've prepared together, one of the great pleasures of life.


Our kitchen. We hold all our classes in the spacious kitchen of our lovely Edwardian home in Whitchurch, Cardiff. So many of our clients have commented on the relaxing atmosphere and 'home from home' feel. It's a perfect environment in which to learn techniques that you will be able to replicate in your own home too.
